Donate Collection Materials

Are you interested in donating art, books, newspapers, letters, diaries, photographs, maps, business and organizational records, or family papers to the State Historical Society of Missouri? Our mission is to collect, preserve, and make available materials documenting the history of our state and its people. Much of our collection has been created through the generosity of our members and friends.

Volunteer

Members, patrons, and friends of SHSMO are invited to participate in the volunteer service program! Friendly, energetic individuals who enjoy meeting people and working with the public can help in a number of ways.

Volunteer opportunities include repairing fragile newspapers prior to microfilming, making copies for patrons and staff, data entry, and assisting staff with a variety of tasks. Volunteers receive thorough training prior to undertaking an assignment.
