Melton McLaurin

Melton McLaurin holds a PhD in history from the University of South Carolina. Presently, he is Professor Emeritus of History at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. He is the author of several books, including Celia, A Slave, Separate Pasts: Growing Up White in the Segregated South, and The Marines of Montford Point: America's First Black Marines.
