Evelyn George received both a master's degree in library and information science and a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Missouri. A native of the Texas Panhandle, George moved to Missouri in 2005. Her first assignment at SHSMO was to digitize the Tom Engelhardt editorial cartoon collection in the fall of 2013. George became a grants assistant in 2014 and then took over as the interlibrary loan librarian later that year.
