This year, the Western History Association and Southern Historical Association will host their conferences concurrently in Kansas City, Mo., at The Westin and Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center.
Come connect with a diverse range of history professionals, including academic
historians, K-12 educators, public historians and museum professionals, writers,
editors, administrators, and publishers, all working in common cause to promote
history-based education (and reality-based thinking) in the American South. Co-sponsored by the State Historical Society of Missouri.
The Western Historical Association supports the study and teaching of all aspects of North American Wests, frontiers, homelands, and borderlands. Both WHA and SHA organizations offer programs of interest to Missourians. The WHA will hold all its events at the Sheraton and the SHA will hold all its events at the Westin. The two properties are joined by an elevated skylink.
