Join us for refreshments as we celebrate the opening of a new exhibit that examines the illustrious history of Missouri baseball! "Covering the Bases: The Evolution of Baseball in Missouri" is on display in the Wenneker Family Corridor Gallery (2nd floor, Center for Missouri Studies) now through December 2024. Through the use of powerful images and stories, visitors can explore baseball’s rise in the Show-Me state from grassroots origins to teams and great players at all levels of the sport.

Learn about how Missouri became a pivotal state in the evolution of baseball, from the foundation of the Negro Leagues to the formation of the modern minor league farm system and the first woman to own a major league team. Listen to interviews from hall of famers Whitey Herzog, Jack Buck, Buck O’Neil, and many more!
