The sixty-first annual Missouri Conference on History will be held March 6-8 at the Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. The conference, hosted by the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Park University, brings together scholars, teachers, and other professional historians to share in the presentation of research, to exchange information on teaching and curriculum, to consider ways to promote the welfare of the profession and general interest in history, and to discuss other concerns common to all historians.
All presenters and participants must register for the conference. Submission of the registration form is a commitment to attend the conference, and reimbursement will not be issued for cancellations or inability to participate on the part of the individual. Another member of your organization is welcome in your place if circumstances necessitate. Refunds will be offered if an event that was an additional cost is cancelled due to a lack of registrants.
For more information, contact the State Historical Society of Missouri at email@example.com or 573.882.7083.
Registration for the conference will open in early 2019.
The Missouri Conference on History encourages aspiring and young historians to present their work. In 2019 the Missouri Humanities Council is offering a new program of financial assistance to both undergraduate and graduate student presenters. Travel grants will cover the conference registration fee, lodging at the conference hotel, and up to $150 of additional related expenses. To learn more, download the Student Financial Assistance Program guidelines.
Thank you to the Missouri Humanities Council for this tremendous support of student scholars.
