Join Bill Eddleman, coordinator of the Cape Girardeau Research Center for a free genealogy program at the St. Clair, Mo. branch of the Scenic Regional Library. See how tax lists offer overlooked details about your ancestors' lives, including property, location, and financial status, and where to find these records. Registration is required by contacting the Scenic Regional Library.

Bill and other professional genealogists will be presenting free public programs in this monthly series, beginning in September at the Washington Public Library and branches of the Scenic Regional Library. Each session will focus on practical research skills using primary sources such as vital records, land and tax records, military documents, and more. The series is funded by Missouri Humanities and Scenic Regional Library.
