The public is invited to a panel discussion on the changing roles of women in the media industry, trends for the future, and how women have led their careers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Panelists include Susan Croce Kelly, author, historian, and managing editor of OzarksWatch Magazine; Michele Skalicky, interim news director, Morning Edition host and senior news producer at KSMU, Ozarks Public Radio; Emily Younker, managing editor of The Joplin Globe; Bobbie Pottorff, news director for KSN and KODE Nexstar Media television stations, and Andra Stefanoni, director of media relations at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Beth Pike, communications director of the State Historical Society of Missouri, will moderate the discussion. The panel discussion is sponsored by the State Historical Society of Missouri and the Springfield-Greene County Public Library at the Library Station.
