Elizabeth Bridges grew up in the St. Louis area, where she worked as a dental assistant. She moved to Columbia in 2018 when her husband began a new job and has been a stay-at-home parent, raising their two young children. Once her youngest daughter began kindergarten, Bridges accepted a part-time job at the State Historical Society. Bridges is also a long-distance runner. In 2023 and 2024, she ran the Bear Creek Half Marathon and also completed 47.5 miles in the 24 Hour Lions Roar run to help raise money for Pascale’s Pals, a local volunteer organization that benefits children and families staying at Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
