Autumn Cuddy joined the State Historical Society staff as a manuscript specialist in the conservation lab in April 2023 and was promoted to archivist in 2024. Cuddy previously worked as an archivist in the nonprofit and government sectors and volunteered for many years with a living history museum in Florida, serving as a historical weapons range instructor and researching and interpreting the roles of carpenters and blacksmiths during the First Spanish Period. Cuddy has earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Louisiana State University-Shreveport, a master’s degree in historical administration and public history from Florida State University, and a certification in audio engineering and music production, logging over 300 studio hours as an assistant audio engineer at Centro Cellar Studio in Columbia.
