The State Historical Society of Missouri recognizes those who leave charitable gifts in their estate plans to support our mission. A written designation of your gift is asked for recognition in the 1898 Society. By providing us with the documentation designating the intent of your gift (and a copy of the page that pertains to SHSMO from your estate plan), we can best honor your wishes. These gifts are revocable at any time, and may be entered as confidential should you so choose. All inquiries to our office are kept in the strictest confidence.
The 1898 Society was established by those who understood that legacy gifts are the cornerstone of future success for SHSMO. You will not only receive public recognition, should you so choose, but also be invited to exclusive events from time to time. And, if your estate pledge is greater than $50,000, you are additionally eligible for recognition as a member of the Missourian Society.
