Atsuko (Yuki) Palmer
Atsuko (Yuki) Palmer works as an administrative assistant. She is often seen in the SHSMO Richard Bookstore welcoming visitors to the Center for Missouri Studies. Yuki grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and received a bachelor’s degree in literature with an emphasis on Japanese Literature at Wayo Women’s University in Ichikawa, Japan. Yuki was vice president of Slatsmandu Corporation, a pet product company based in Tokyo. She has also worked for thinktanks and in the film and advertising industries in Japan. In 2017, Yuki and her husband moved to Missouri. Since that time, Yuki has enjoyed the beauty of the Missouri Ozark region, in particular, Mount Taum Sauk and its clear waters, lakes, and wildlife. Closer to home, Yuki enjoys walking Columbia's wonderful trails. She is an avid tennis player, a dog-lover, and an artist.
