Atsuko (Yuki) Palmer
Atsuko (Yuki) Palmer works as an administrative assistant. You’ll often see her in the SHSMO bookstore welcoming visitors to the Center for Missouri Studies. Palmer grew up in Toyko, Japan, and received a bachelor’s degree in literature with an emphasis on Japanese Literature at Wayo Women’s University in Ichikawa, Japan. Palmer was vice president of Slatsmandu Corporation, a pet product company based in Toyko. She moved to Missouri to join her husband three years ago. Since that time, Palmer has enjoyed the beauty of the Missouri Ozark region, in particular, Elephant Rocks, Branson, and the clear rivers and streams. Closer to home, Palmer appreciates the wonderful walking and bike trails in Columbia and is an avid tennis player.
