Missouri 2021 Presents: A Bicentennial Road Trip

Learn about places and events to explore that will connect you to the bicentennial and discover the history, culture, and special places unique to Missouri. There's plenty to see and do less than a gas tank away or travel a little further to parts of the state that you may not be as familiar with until you experience it!

This hour-long episode includes guest presenter Stephen Foutes, Director, Missouri Division of Tourism. Additional guests include Michael Sweeney and Morgan Dennehy of the Missouri Bicentennial who talks about the popular Missouri Explorers program launched this year. We also hear from guests Diane Hannah and Janie Dennison on staff with Missouri Main Street Connection in Branson about their new program: Missouri Main Street Bicentennial Passport.

Whether you’re looking for big city excitement or small towns with big stories, there’s much to explore, unique places to visit, and local cuisine to enjoy as you spend your leisure time, here, in Missouri

Our panel shares their insights on the art and culture of quilt-making and talks about the special quilts created by Missourians for the bicentennial.

This program was originally broadcast via Zoom Webinar in April 2021.
