Locations across Missouri
Coming in 2026 to a location near you! SHSMO’s new traveling exhibition, Missouri’s Main Street: 100 Years of Route 66 will spend a month at different locations near the historic road in Missouri. In addition, it will make some appearances at special events like the Route 66 National Kickoff in Springfield and the Missouri State Fair. Learn about Missouri’s Route 66 history, from natural Ozark wonders to homegrown architecture and roadside kitsch, along with stories of legendary personalities and how the road highlighted the hardship and inequality that pervades American history.
Check out the current schedule, below, to find out where the exhibition will stop near you, along with a link to their website for hours and holidays. If your organization would like to host the exhibition, sign up here.
