Rafael joined SHSMO part-time in 2025 to assist with building maintenance. he has worked at the University of Missouri Healthcare and Shelter Insurance and currently works full-time at Quaker Oats as a trainer and inspector. Rafael is a native of Mexico City, Mexico, where he grew up enjoying Latin music, dance, and soccer. After moving to Columbia in 2005, he began dancing competitively in his free time. His favorite dances are salsa and bachata. Rafael enjoys the diversity of people he’s met in the mid Missouri area and the quality of life he enjoys with his teenage son.
