Morgan Lake

Morgan Lake

Archivist

As a seventh generation Missourian, Morgan was born in Cape Girardeau and grew up in St. Louis with much of her time spent on the family farm near Jackson. She received a degree in art history at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1992 and completed her Master of Art in public history, historic preservation at Southeast Missouri State University in 2012. Morgan has been active in the Daughters of American Revolution for 25 years, serving as a state officer, including the state regent. When she’s not visiting historic sites and markers, Morgan loves helping Missourians learn more about their family history through genealogy. She’s also looking forward to the 100th anniversary of Route 66 in 2026, a road she has enjoyed traveling.
