    About the Guest

    Jarod Roll holds a PhD in history from Northwestern University. Presently, he is an associate professor of history at the University of Mississippi. He is the author of Spirit of Rebellion: Labor and Religion in the New Cotton SouthThe Gospel of the Working Class: Labor's Southern Prophets in New Deal America; and Poor Man's Fortune: White Working-Class Conservatism in American Metal Mining, 1850–1950.
