SHSMO Announces New Hours for Visitors

The State Historical Society of Missouri has updated hours at locations across the state, beginning Tuesday, May 18. The new hours are as follows:

The Research Center at the Center for Missouri Studies in Columbia will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month, all by appointment.

The Research Centers in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Rolla will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, by appointment.

The Research Centers in Cape Girardeau and Springfield will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, by appointment.

Additionally, the Art Gallery in the Center for Missouri Studies in Columbia will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. The Bookstore, also in Columbia, will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. No appointment is required to visit the Art Gallery or the Bookstore.

*Beginning July 2, Kansas City Research Center will be closed to allow for a move into new offices inside the UMKC Miller Nichols Library. The research center will reopen in mid-August.
