National History Day Teacher Workshop in Cape Girardeau

Did you know that the National History Day in Missouri program offers students in grades 6-12 the chance to learn history, improve research techniques, as well as public speaking, writing, and analytical skills while competing with their peers in local, state, and national contests each year? Want to learn more about this fantastic program that helps students? The Southeast Missouri State University College of Humanities & Social Sciences is hosting a History Day Workshop for Regional Teachers on Friday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Presentations will be offered on judging, local research resources, registration, etc.

A tour of Kent Library and Special Collections will also be given to registrants. Lunch will be provided, and certificates will be awarded to attendees for potential professional development. For more information, contact historyday@semo.edu
