What comes to mind when you think of Missouri? What does being a Missourian mean to you? What has living in Missouri meant to you?

What is your hope for the future of our state?

A team of University of Missouri journalism students will be asking these and other questions and recording the responses and oral histories as part of the Missouri on Mic traveling audio booth. Debuting at the True/False Film Festival in May 2021, Missouri on Mic is capturing the stories and perspectives of Missourians at the occasion of the state's bicentennial.

Come add your voice and your story! It’s free, no audio skills are required, and you are welcome to bring a relative, friend, or companion to record with. Drop-ins and walk-ins are welcome!

KBIA News listeners will have a chance to hear some of these stories in the fall and the stories will also appear at Ragtag Cinema later in the year. The collection of stories will be archived at the State Historical Society of Missouri as part of Missouri’s 200th anniversary of statehood.
