Join us in Jefferson City for the Missouri Bicentennial Inaugural Parade on September 18 at 10:00 am. Highlighting the history of the state of Missouri, the parade is a milestone celebration of 200 years since Missouri joined the Union as the 24th state in 1821. As the lead coordinating organization for the Missouri Bicentennial, the State Historical Society of Missouri will be there handing out limited edition bicentennial buttons and other swag! Make plans to attend and cheer on SHSMO staff and all the Missouri organizations who are taking part in the inaugural parade!
Hosted by Missouri Governor Mike Parson, the parade takes place in Jefferson City. A parade route map and parking map can be found on the Governor's website. The event will also be livestreamed on Governor Parson's Facebook page.
